Conspicous Boy

I don't know what people are thinking at Rolling Stone. Really, I'm not sure if I want to know what they're thinking.


Seriously? OK, maybe what I'm really trying to get at is something about the music industry more generally, better demonstated by other "artists". Looking at the media for a several new or upcoming albums from major labels, I'm left wondering who the marketeers are trying to appeal to and what it is they believe is appealing about their products? It could be the limitations of my own sensibility leaving my puzzled, but I doubt it.


While Beyonce's new album may not have flopped as bad as was at first predicted (or hoped!), of course, here she is trying to make up for the indifference of most music fans around the world, the best way she knows how...on her knees.
